I never thought that the superfood chia seeds can be pressed and bottled into face serums. I only drink these seeds which are perfect with almond milk, as I’ve written in my previous post.
I’m a fan of natural oils taken internally and applied to skin. Sure, some may not be perfect for your skin type, but my combination skin did like argan and rosehip mixed with moisturizer. Thanks to the owner of Liqidia who sent me a bottle of their Chia oil face serum to try.
I did apply this like what I do to most facial oils – mix with moisturizer. While some may apply this prior to their moisturizer, I find the former better. It is classified as unrefined so I have high hopes of it’s potency. This oil is comparable to argan vs rosehip, kind of like midway in terms of absorption. The color is very light yellow, like VCO.
I like this at night because it’s more ‘oily’ than rosehip. Every time December comes when the weather starts to turn cold, I usually experience skin flaking around my brows and the sides of my nose. Last month I didn’t have it! Quite impressed with this. One thing I also do is dab a drop or two on top of my powder blush on, and it makes a subtle healthy glow. I only tried this when the mineral blush on I was using kept my cheeks matte. There are times you don’t want to be all the time matte right?
I don’t see this available locally, but you can visit Liqidia, they ship free worldwide. 🙂
Hi there, I really need your help! My Youtube channel is a project for University and my grade for the course depends on how much engagement the videos/channel has. It would mean the world to me if you could check it out, leave some comments/likes and if you like what you see, please subscribe (I need 250 subscribers by Friday, eek!). I would of course return the favor! Thank you from the bottom of my heart in advance!
