Goodreads list

I don’t know how things happened but for the first time in how many months, I’ve succumbed to my reading groove. My Goodreads account is finally moving. So how does a mom do that? I read during my break, when I put Maia to sleep, and yes I had to sacrifice an hour of sleep. No regrets, it’s worth it.

My recent ‘Read’ list:  (Lately, I find YA novels engaging)

Everyday

everydayThis is the first Levithan book that I read. I chose this because I got curious when it was reviewed on TV. I won’t give spoilers to those who haven’t read it, but I came to accept the ending.

Free to Fall

If you’re a dystopian book lover, add this to your list. I’ll rate it 4 stars.

The Giver

The Giver Lois Lowry

Another dystopian book but I am optimistic until the ending.  I am tempted to write the author about it. Haha!

If I Stay | Where She Went

if i staywhere she went

Music. Love. Choice. Fate. That’s what I can describe both books. 5 stars!

The thing when you’re back to reading is you’ve got a thousand choices to choose from. Whoa! It’s just exciting how each book is imbued in your life and memory. I love this quote from George Martin: (Game of Thrones, A Dance with Dragons)

β€œA reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”

What are your current book favorites and recommendations?

  1. Wow! That’s a nice list of good reads!I love reading too! I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned though. There are times when I can’t seem to immerse myself in certain book genres. I haven’t touched what used to be my favorite fiction book/romantic novels in months! Maybe its because I am into inspirational Christian books these days. I really find comfort reading them.:)

  2. You will fit right in with Mommy Patricia of Mrs.C’s Sugarcoated life and Mommy Janice of The Rollercoaster Ride. πŸ™‚ They’re both love reading the kind of books you enjoy and they’re both in Goodreads as well. To be honest, I never really understood how that works – do I get to borrow books? Cause I tried and I couldn’t. 😦

That Levithan book looks really interesting. Maybe I should look it up. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks May, Goodreads make you organize your favorite books and get to read reviews. I don’t think you can borrow though 😦
