The lotus, botanically, nelumbo nucifera.
Yesterday morning, Ate Rose sprinted to my office. At that age of hers, she’s still strong and fast to move. She informed me that the lotus has already bloomed. It was so kind for her to inform me. It was what I was waiting for. I said that I’ll go down later to check. But she insisted it is good to take a picture in the morning, otherwise it will not be as open as it does on mornings. I have to agree, and it’s not good to disappoint an old lady.
I could see the pink hues as I descended the cemented stairs heading to the rectory.
Wow, it was beautiful. The sunlight directly illuminating it.
It was the only one flower in the small pond.
It was a feast for my eyes that morning.
ahh a beautiful and graceful tale after all
